Feel Like Traveling Time?

February 29, 2008 | Justin

Time Travel MartToday is a day that doesn’t really exist — well, sort of exists in a total time paradox of sorts. Considering this odd, twice a decade phenomenon, known as “leap day,” and LOST’s crazy mind-trip, time traveling episode last night, it’s a perfect time to talk about time travel.

This guy David Eggers, who happens to be a writer whom I had never heard of before about 35 seconds ago but seems to be rather famous, opened up a rather unusual store in LA. A store like any other store except for the fact that it’s called The Echo Park Time Travel Mart. What do they sell you ask? Well, your basic every day items that you might need at any point between now and, well, ever.

Some of the humorous products available for purchase include: mammoth chunks, barbarian repellent, packets of shade and anti-robot fluid.

Sounds good to me. Evidently the store is a means to make some money to fund a bunch of non-profit writing centers the Eggers guy has. Seemingly cool store with a solid purpose. On this day that sort of kind of exists, this is a pretty cool thing.

Then again, so is the new 1080p Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull trailer!
