Spring Forward
March 11, 2007 |
My computer’s clock just changed from 1:59 am to 3:00 am. It’s funny how that happens once a year. While I’m not going to get into another rant* on Daylight Savings Time, I’d just like to point out how funny this new, earlier time change was thought to bring down our civilization much the same way the Y2K bug was expected to end life as we knew it at 12:01 am, January 1, 2000. Well, my computer continues to function, my cell phone updated without a glitch, SportsCenter continues to run and, unless I missed something, the world is still turning. I guess that makes it Universe 2, us 0. I guess it’s all for the best.
*Check out the classic article, “So What’s the Deal with the Time” to see my exact thoughts on this whole Daylight Savings Time business.
