iPods From Space

As you may or may not know Apple Computer is turning thirty on Saturday, April 1st (save the April Fool’s Day jokes). There has been a plethora of speculation around the internet as to just how Steve Jobs is going to celebrate the occasion. Some are thinking an announcement of the new touch-screen video iPod, or perhaps full length movie downloads through iTunes. The truth is no one really knows. Jobs might not even make any announcements. Though the recent discovery, thanks to Google Maps, of a roughly million square yard iPod in Australia may point to some sort of announcement.
Evidently the huge iPod has been constructed on a abandoned mine which Steve Jobs won in a poker game — is there anything he can’t do? Whether this will coincide with Apple’s birthday or has just been built for the hell of it so people like me make posts like these remains to be seen. Either way it’s a pretty cool discovery.
