From the Humor Dept.

January 12, 2003 | Justin

Today we’re going to talk about a few humorous observations. Observational Humor, get it. HAHA. Yeah, no. Ok, but anyway, as many of you know, well, scratch that, practically the entire world knows that FSU had a not so wonderful football season. I mean we finished up 9 and 5, that’s 9 wins and 5 losses for you non sports literate people out there. But yeah, 5 losses is horrible for FSU. Then on top of that our starting QB gets benched and then our second string takes over who then steals checks to pay off gambling debts and gets arrested and thrown off the team and so our benched QB takes over the starting position again. Then comes the Sugar Bowl and one of our star linemen gets benched for purchasing clothes and forgetting to pay for them and then, our wonderful starting QB sleeps through one of his exams and thus, gets benched for the game as well. I mean, how stupid could one person get? If I lost my job I would sleep through a test. Come on Rix! Get on the ball. Anyway, here’s a funny little thing that came my way today. Hey, that rhymes!

This weekend, well yesterday rather, I went camping again with my roommate and some others that live in the same building as us. In fact, we went back to Torreya State Park. Pictures from the original trip can be found in the Photo Album. Nice plug huh? Anyway, went camping and in the middle of the woods at night its about 30 degrees outside this time a year so of course you have to have a nice raging fire… or else you die. So, in order to prevent death, we created a wondrous blazing fire. Then we started playing around with said fire. Not smart, I know, but results in some funny stories. Lets just say, we eventually found the lighter. But, back to my point, one thing we thought would be lots of fun would be to burn boat loads of FSView’s, our campus newspaper. Why burn 28 copies of the latest newspaper? Because it’s a horrible newspaper printed with the lowest quality ink and sub-par journalism. So, it had to go. Today I leave you with a little before and after imagery. Enjoy. Oh, and kids, don’t try this at home.
